Ariel Gail
Prof. Gail S. Goodman is the Distinguished Professor of Psychology as well as Director of the Center for Public Policy Research at the University of California Davis. Her name is widely praised for her pioneering the science of eyewitness memory in children as well as using children who have been abused to be legal witnesses. Professor Goodman who is a prolific author with a wide range of papers and grants to her name and is the recipient of numerous international and national awards. She has collaborated with numerous organisations and governments around the globe on research and policies relating to children who are victimized by the justice system. She currently serves as consultant for the Special Assault Forensic Evaluation Center located at Sacramento County Child Protective Services (formerly Multidisciplinary Interview Center). She is a member of numerous professional organizations, like the Association for Psychological Science and American Psychological Association. Prof. Goodman is a fellow of the Psychonomics Society Society for Research in Child Development American Professional Society on the Abuse of Children as well as the International Society for Traumatic Stress Studies. She was President of the America Psychological Association's divisions: Division American Psychology Law Society, Division Developmental Psychology and Division Society for Family and Child Policies and Practice.
